Troy Innovation Garage celebrates National Hot Dog Day

Hot dog lovers came together Wednesday afternoon at the Troy Innovation Garage to celebrate National Hot Dog Day by eating hot dogs from various local restaurants.
Gramercy Communications hosted a tasting of the area’s finest mini hot dogs to coincide with National Hot Dog Day on Wednesday. The event was conceived and coordinated by Gramercy Communications 2017 summer interns as part of the program’s community service requirement.
The hour and a half event also severed as a fundraiser for the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York. For a donation of $5, attendees were able to sample mini hot dogs from five of the area’s best-known purveyors. All proceeds from the event benefited the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York.
Mini hot dogs from some of the most popular local establishments were available, including Gus’s Hot Dogs, Watervliet; Hot Dog Charlie’s, Troy; Country Drive Inn, Clifton Park; Jack’s Drive In, Wynantskill; and the Famous Lunch, Troy.
